The Old Man and The Food Court
This is the real story about an old man whom I always see every day. He lives in Sekaran, in his small food court which always looks so empty. I have never known about him or even his place before, and I feel so guilty because of that. He looks so wise, he never does nothing although there is no customer in his place. When the first time I came into his place, he gives me a nice smile and told me some of his funny jokes. I enjoyed his place. Until now, I still enjoy his place. His cooking is great, I think. I have tried to find the reason why his place is always empty. Then, I failed. But seeing him every day in his miserable condition, I cannot stay in my silence and do nothing. I wish I could do something to help him. But what can I do? The only thing I can do is just coming into his place and being his loyal customer. I hope I am not his only customer. It is not enough. I wish I could do something more. I just want to see his honest smile. He reminds me of my father. I miss my father when I see him. I do miss my family when I see him alone. I wish he could have a better life. I wish.
